A very bad news for the existing BSNL CDMA 1x data and voice customers residing in Kolkata. BSNL has decided to discontinue 1X data and voice service from Kolkata circle, Central, Bidhannagar, Alipur, Jadavpur, Behala and some part of North Kolkata. That means Rs.250 unlimited data plan will not be available after 31.10.2015. BSNL is giving an excuse that due to some regulatory issue they are withdrawing such offers.  I talked with some people who are using CDMA 1X in Kolkata and they are saying the main reason behind this is to forcing the customer to upgrade to higher price data plan. BSNL is going to receive moderate response from this decision some are saying to break up relationship with BSNL and very few are planning to upgrade. DPSCs have started giving acknowledgement to the 2012 candidates who have not downloaded acknowledgement from the website in the year 2014. DPSC of North 24 Parganas is situated near the Barasat Station. Walking distance is around 5 minutes from station. Candidates who have submitted application to get acknowledgement are only eligible to get acknowledgment from DPSC.
